Yes. We haven't hosted our first wedding yet. The couples who book Maricopa Gardens in our opening season will have something genuinely rare: a venue with no before. No events to compare theirs to, no "this is how we usually do it." Just ten acres of California landscape and their wedding, the first it has ever known.

Maricopa Gardens was designed to feel like a living, breathing piece of the Ojai Valley. We partnered with celebrated architecture landscape studio Terremoto to plant native California favorites like sage, poppies, deer grass, and more that support local birds, butterflies, and pollinators. The result is an estate that feels truly alive: birds singing from the oak trees, butterflies drifting through the gardens, and a natural beauty that no amount of décor can replicate.

The hills above Ojai. The Los Padres mountains holding the horizon. Five minutes from downtown, a world apart from it. There aren't many places in Southern California where the land does this much of the work. We're one of them.
-
Up to 150 guests, seated. The estate has 75 onsite parking spaces and room to breathe between the ceremony, the paths, and the reception. It doesn't feel like 150. It feels like exactly the right number of people in exactly the right amount of space.
-
Three distinct spaces connected by three acres of winding Terremoto-designed paths. The Poppy Meadow for the ceremony, with open sky, mountain views, and wildflowers. The Los Padres Oak Grove for the reception, with coast live oaks, long tables, and soft lighting. The paths between them for cocktail hour, portraits, and the quiet moments guests remember longest.
-
No. Open vendor policy, bring your full team. The people you know and trust are the right people for your wedding. We ask only that every vendor is licensed, insured, and comes with genuine care for the Ojai Valley.
-
One. No exceptions. The estate is entirely private for the couple who books it. No shared days, no parallel events, no other guests on the property. That isn't a selling point. It's a commitment.
-
The Los Padres Oak Grove is currently under development. Terremoto's next planting phase, including 2,000 additional California natives and a circular stone seating wall, begins September 2026. The Oak Grove opens for full wedding receptions in early 2027.
If your wedding date falls before then, we would love to talk through what is possible. Couples who book now will be among the first to celebrate in the finished space. Contact us to discuss configurations for your date.

A 50 percent retainer holds your date. The remaining balance is due 30 days before the event. A refundable $5,000 security deposit is required and returned after the event. Liability insurance is required for all events. Dates are subject to availability and we do not offer cancellations, though rescheduling can be arranged depending on availability.

Maricopa Gardens is an outdoor estate. We work with vetted local tent vendors who can provide weather contingency coverage, and we are happy to connect your planner with our preferred contacts. We recommend discussing a weather plan with your planner early in the process, particularly for spring and winter dates.
